The Korean edition of Michelin Green Guide has highly recommended Jeonju Hanok Village, Mt. Maisan in Jinan and Dolmen sites in Gochang with three stars - its highest rating. Each of these tourist destinations well represents traditional culture, natural scenic beauty and prehistoric culture, centering on Mireuksa Temple and connecting tourists to the past history & culture of the ancient Baekje. Visitors would realize why Jeollabuk-do is often thought of as the second home to many Koreans.

Michelin Green Guide was first published by its mother company Michelin in 1900, featuring a variety of travel information. Overtime, Michelin Green Guide has grown as one of the most famous travel magazines in the world, with 1,5 million issues sold and 52 countries publishing. Currently, the magazine has introduced 110 places in Korea; 23 of them are given three stars - three of which are located in Jeollabuk-do.
