Mohang beach which is located in Mohang, Docheong-ri, Byeonsan-myeon is the most sequestered beach among the whole neighborhood. Because Mohang is less known to other region, it still keeps naïve atmosphere of sea village.
This lonely beach between Naebyeonsan and Oebyensan presents seasonal view, especially the sand harmonized with seawater and in and around picturesque scene adds up its beauty.
When the seawater flows off, white sand is exposed to the contrary to other beaches of yellow sea that filled with black slime plain. So it presents elegance beach scenery.
This Mohang beach came into being naturally in graceful nature site where view of Mt. Byeonsan Peninsula National Park and environment of the yellow sea are well harmonized.
This site is suitable for family recreation center in summer because it is composed of refined white sandy beach and armful fine trees.
Especially it was constituted sightseeing place on Dec 2000 and complex recreation center equipped seaside café, amusement park, campsite, fishing ground, culture, exercise and amusement park including family hotel, family rest village will be constructed.
Natural monument Horanggasi tree (holly), fantastic driveway and fishing ground in and around Mohang add up its Scenic beauty as a sightseeing place.
The way extends from Gyeokpo harbor to Mohang is famous for driveway. A poet An Dohyeon admire this way in his poem ‘on the way Mohang’ says that this driveway go along the sea and the mountain in each side. This way is one of the best driveways in Korea. You had better hitchhike than use public transport service to enjoy driving to the full.
